mailfloss now supports **passkeys**, giving you a faster and more secure way to sign in to your account without having to enter your password.

A passkey can use the security features already built into your device, such as **Windows Hello, Touch ID, Face ID, or your device's PIN**. For example, if you're using a Windows computer, you can sign in to mailfloss using your Windows passkey.

## What is a passkey?

A passkey is a passwordless sign-in method that uses your device's built-in security to verify your identity.

Unlike a password, a passkey is not something you need to remember or type. Your device securely stores the passkey, and you use your device's authentication method to sign in.

Passkeys can help make signing in both easier and more secure.

## How to create a passkey in mailfloss

You can create a passkey directly from your mailfloss account:

1. Log in to your **mailfloss** account.
2. Go to **Account Settings**.
3. Open the **Pass Keys** tab.
4. Select the option to create a new passkey.
5. Follow the instructions provided by your device or browser to complete the setup.

Once your passkey has been created, you can use it to sign in to mailfloss without entering your password.

### Using a Windows passkey

If you're using Windows, you may be prompted to authenticate using **Windows Hello**, such as your PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition, depending on your device.

Other devices and browsers may offer different authentication methods, such as Touch ID or Face ID.

## Managing your passkeys

You can view and manage the passkeys associated with your mailfloss account from:

**Account Settings → Pass Keys**

We recommend giving each passkey a recognizable name so you can easily identify it later.
