To generate a mailfloss API key, or to add a webhook, follow these steps: 

Log in to your mailfloss account. 

1. Go to **Account Settings **in the sidebar.

2\. To create an API key, click the **API keys** tab. Enter an optional **Label**, choose when the key **Expires** and its **Access** (**Full access** or **Restricted**), then click **Create API key**. mailfloss shows the full key only once, so copy it right away.

3\. To add a webhook, click the **Additional Settings** tab and turn on **Enable webhooks** in the **Webhooks** card. Webhooks require a Business or Pro plan.

Once activated, a new option called **"API & Webhooks" **will appear in the sidebar. 



4\. Click on **API & Webhooks **in the sidebar. 

5\. From there, click "Add Webhook" to configure a webhook.



API keys may be needed for 3rd party integrations that use the mailfloss API, such as Zoho CRMs mailfloss extension, which was written by a third party and is not officially supported.

Zapier is another app that requires the API key, as well as our official API.
